​The Barton Community College Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established in 1967 to raise private-sector funds in support of educational initiatives and opportunities at Barton Community College. In addition to managing scholarships and special projects, the Foundation builds partnerships, coordinates funding, and oversees the Shafer Art Gallery and the Cohen Center for Kansas History. As the college continues to grow and adapt to new educational needs, the Foundation provides innovative giving opportunities for donors to support students, enhance facilities, and advance technology. Chartered in 1907, the Ellinwood St. Joseph Council 1187 Knights of Columbus is dedicated to service, faith, and community. The council hosts annual events such as an awards breakfast, memorial service, Christmas party, soup sampler dinner, and Lenten catfish fry—raising funds for scholarships, disaster relief, and local causes. They support Special Olympics, pro-life initiatives, and religious education at local parishes. The council welcomes new members committed to making a positive impact.
