Ellinwood District Hospital is a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital that proudly serves Ellinwood and the surrounding communities with compassionate, high-quality healthcare close to home. The facility features a 24/7 emergency room with two beds, ensuring prompt and reliable care at any time. In addition to emergency services, the hospital provides inpatient acute care, skilled swing bed and intermediate swing bed care, along with a wide range of outpatient services. These include physical and occupational therapy, a full-service laboratory, and comprehensive imaging options such as traditional X-ray, CT scans, mobile mammography, mobile ultrasound/sonography, and mobile MRI.
The hospital also operates Ellinwood Clinic, which opened in 1993. The clinic delivers full-spectrum family care, serving patients from newborns to seniors, with practitioners dedicated to providing personalized and attentive healthcare.
Ellinwood District Hospital and Ellinwood Clinic are leased by Great Plains Health Alliance, Inc. (GPHA), a rural healthcare network that supports the facility through shared services, personnel, expertise, and resources. This partnership allows hospital and clinic staff to focus on patient care while GPHA assists with administrative responsibilities such as policy development and billing.
