Now Hiring - Ellinwood Chamber Administrator

The Ellinwood Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors is now hiring a part-time position for the position of the Ellinwood Chamber administrator.

Number of hours and extent of responsibilities is negotiable, dependent on the applicants availability.

​

Job Description:

​

Summary: The role of the Chamber Administrator is to work with the Board of Directors and
Chamber Members in support of the Ellinwood community.

​

Specific responsibilities include:​

  • Maintain consistent office hours at the chamber office.

  • Answer and return messages sent to the chamber: mail, calls, email, etc.

  • Maintain communication with area organizations on what is happening in Ellinwood.

  • Work closely with the City of Ellinwood, Barton County Economic Development, vendors, etc. on chamber activities and local information.

  • Record bank deposits and expenditures in QuickBooks (training is available).

  • Write checks and receive payments on behalf of the Chamber.

  • Prepare and distribute membership renewals and then process those memberships.

  • Advise chamber members on new programs, events, and services the chamber has available.

  • Work alongside the chamber board on a variety of chamber programs:
    (These duties are shared with the board)

    • Manage advertising, promotional, and press release communications.

    • Ensure photos are taken at chamber events.

    • Maintain relationships with chamber members and recruit new membership.

    • Maintain and update the chamber’s website and social media channels.

    • Maintain and update the chamber’s signs around town.

    • Plan, promote, and implement chamber events including Chamber Coffee’s, Business After Hours, and Ribbon Cuttings.

    • Note that for larger chamber events, those events necessarily REQUIRE involvement from the chamber board and community committees to make possible.
      The chamber administrator job is not solely responsible for the planning and execution of those larger events.
