You’re invited to join Ellinwood Police Chief Chance Bailey for a cup of coffee during "Coffee with the Chief" Friday, April 10th, at Two Chicks and Some Old Bird, 106 N. Main at 10 am.

Golden Belt Humane Society/Adopt a Pet will be having a Bake Sale during Ladies Night Out on February 25th from 5pm-8pm at Waters Hardware, 1649 W K 96 Highway. There will be cakes, cookies, pies, breads, cinnamon rolls, noodles, & much much more. All money earned goes to the direct care of shelter animals.
Every year, members of the Area Homebrewer's Association(AHBA) raise a glass with President Paul Porter as he and other officers seek re-election. Unfortunately, this year, Paul Porter meets an early demise (midflight). A cast of suspects all have motives to end Paul's platform to move AHBA in another direction. To investigate, Bret Wild, a guest homebrewer and Federal Marshal from Texas, discovers clues and interrogates the other club officers: Amber Bock (Pauls's new wife and AHBA Historian), Penelope Porter (Paul's new wife and AHBA secretary), John Stout (AHBA Treasurer), Buddy Wiser (Vice-President), and Fifi L'Blonde (owner of the Barley-Not-Grape (BNG) Brew Pub). The annual Chicken & Noodles Band Dinner will held on Sun, Feb 16 from 11-1. The Raffle prize will be a big screen TV along with silent auction baskets provided by the students. Tickets for both the dinner & raffle are available from our Band students, or just show up. We'll have plenty at the door. Carry-out is available.
